iSANapp UX Design

The iSchool Augmented Navigation Application, iSANApp, will be a mobile Augmented Reality, AR, dashboard that unifies many of the most common information seeking and resource management tasks performed by users of iSchool. This application will provide both traditional user interfaces in conjunction with location-based AR content. The addition of the AR layer allows for the creation of an interactive interfaces superimposed upon the physical environment of the iSchool facilities in the UTA building at The University of Texas at Austin. 

This system will create a seamless connection between the users, the physical environment, and the available iSchool resources. This application will help users accomplish tasks such as reserving rooms and checking out computer lab equipment. iSANApp will also provide access to information found on the iSchool’s bulletin boards, the IT lab, and general iSchool administrative tasks. The goal is to help users quickly gather useful information at the point of need via passive location-based queries.
